Spring time flowers...

These are my Rhododendrons in full bloom this Spring.

Bray needed a picture with them too.

We purchased 16 trees, June 26, 2012 for our yard after we said we would never want a yard full of trees again, only because of all the leaves in the Fall. This is the first one taken off the trailer that actually fell off.

We purchased the trees from a wholesale place in DM, DMF Gardens 2511 E. 21st St, 515.266.2488. We talked with Kevin who also was able to deliver and place them.

These 3 are Heritage River Birches which are east of the pond where it can be pretty wet.

This is the tree that fell off the skid loader, was planted in a hole full of water. Ya know the ground doesn't perk here so I thought I was helping by filling the holes with water but I ended up taking the water back out of the other holes. Non perking ground is great for ponds but not sure for anything else.

This is Rick and Buck. We asked Buck to come and help us anchor our bouncer we got for the kids to play on in the pond. Buck seemed to have a pretty good plan so we went with it.

Yes whenever these guys do something it always turns out pretty funny!

I think they got wet but they aren't telling. I was gone during that time. To bad I didn't get action shots of the two of them falling in.

They did get the job done...for the first time that is...

My first hibiscus planted over here, it's just as big as the one at home.

Laurie Buyert and daughter Jenna stopped in unexpectedly for a short visit.

Bray learned to love the pond this summer, thanks to some swimming lessons.
Ponds are a little different than swimming pools.

I think Lake threw his daddy right off of there. I can hear the giggle even now.

Barclay isn't a fan of the pond this year. No matter how hard we tried.

The dogs like to have company while they go swimming. They show up and take a dip several times a day alone. As soon as Cubbie sees me he questions if he is going to get sent home or not. Kinze seems to stick around here more and more this summer, so whenever she feels the need she cools off in the water.

Chels and Josh are crazier than the kids.

We didn't get a picture but the plywood on the bouncer is from putting the bouncer back in the water again. It came off the anchor so we had to start over. Our pond is getting pretty weighed down to say the least.

Wendell and Teri came for a visit this summer to join in on the fun of cousin Harlen 60th birthday. I think we could have a 60th birthday party every year for quite a while with the De Vries family. Wendell and Teri even went swimming in the pond.
