Patience = Progress

Floor in the lower level bathroom...check
Brandyn is so good about getting pictures of me when actually they do all the work.  I will take some pictures of them working.  Things are taking shape and getting some color.  The posts are stained, along with the main floor trim all stained.  I think some counter top is installed today too.  Rennaisance measured yesterday for the granite, that is due to be installed February 26.  The carpenters are going to dismiss themselves to get another home under cover for their window delivery on Friday.  With varnishing soon I was hoping they wouldn't be running saws.
This is the tape and texture guys.  He was actually mudding on stilts.

We have a tub...waiting on the rest.  Again I'm reminded, "Patience"
We were going to do the floor in here but they did not get far enough with the shower so we did the bathroom downstairs instead.  We had pizza before we started, leave it to Brandyn to find a comfy spot for supper.
 The cupboards are being installed.

Here Myles and I are in our bedroom checking out the stain.  He is ready to go home and stay there.  We don't let him down cause it's pretty dirty yet.  He gets pretty excited when we take him out to take a quick look.

 Chelsea is checking out the cupboards.  Lake still thinks it's taking too long.
Josh and Harper standing by the post in the middle of the great room.
Brandyn and Rick getting the floor ready for duraceramic in the bar area downstairs.  We are getting tired of working at night so they are going to lay it tomorrow.  We went to Brandyn and Emily's and had a chicken/Asparagus dish instead, it was really good.

More color in the room.  The posts are stained.  We were pretty concerned if they were going to look ok, maple wood takes stain really different. We are happy with them.

Lake and Harper had to come and check out the tub, it's not quite ready but it's getting close.
Kind of a mess downstairs.  They are putting trim up so there is sawdust all over.  One day I counted 11 vehicles on the driveway, we better be seeing progress.
 The county line road is finally open.  The buses can finally go down the gravel.
The snow along the roadside is incredible yet.  I have taken some snow pictures because I hope we don't see this much snow for this long next year.  Dad and Judy are gone this month.  They are traveling in a newly purchased small motor home.  I talk to them almost weekly, they left the first week in February and are due back at the end of the month.  I have let them know that we are still enjoying the beautiful Iowa winter here so no need to hurry back.  Their home is very quiet without them around.  Myles think they completely forgot about us all.  We were hoping to be moved by the time they came back home but thinking that probably won't be happening.  We could really use their help moving into our home so we will wait for them to get back, ha ha!  We are hoping the middle of March, time will tell.  We are very ready to get this next move behind us and start cooking real fun meals again.  We've been keeping it pretty simple here, lots of sandwiches, soups and casseroles.  The kids have us over often and we really appreciate it.  We are so ready to treat them to some meals again soon.  We are wanting to get settled before Rick and Brandyn get busy treating beans.
