Are you stressing out over finding “that perfect holiday gift,” I came across a wonderful, comforting quote by author Cindy Lew: “Remember, the greatest gift is not found in a store or under a tree, but in the hearts of true friends.” I discovered this quote in BJ Gallagher’s book Friends Are Everything and it reminded me of what truly matters. So this holiday season, rather than getting caught up in the hustle-and-bustle, I hope you’ll choose to celebrate those things that matter most.
This weather is taking a whole day out of prep time before Christmas. Some of us are home today with their groceries in the house, so they are making candy, some are wrapping presents, some are working on cards and letters. I am catching up on computer work for Van Zante Inc and Winegardner Landscaping and Construction. There is always something to do despite the weather. However, it's a great day to grab a book, a cup of chai or tea, sit down by your fireplace, (or in a warm room) and make the best of your day. We don't always have to be so busy "doing", we can just have quiet time with God also and visit with him, then wait for him to respond back to you.
