Once again sorry this is all backwards...I guess all I can say is, "I'm 50, what DO you expect!!!"
The crane showed up on Monday, the 2nd of November and the rest of the week was pretty much filling in all the small parts of the truss system. The guys put in a BIG week and we appreciate them very much. We also thank God for answered prayer of no rain. His timing is a little different than ours is but we know there is a reason for it all so we keep on trusting His will and learning more patience everyday.

It took shape in a big way today.
Rick Van Gorp's crew moved over with shingles on Friday and got started. We hope for good weather next week again. We were able to get done beaning Saturday night. Moving home from Fremont was a trip I won't forget for awhile. It's not too much fun driving a combine straight through Osky at night, the only thing I had going for me was; I 'M BIG! I was so thankful Sunday was the next day!
We took Rick's folks out on the ranger to see the whole layout of the pond and back yard Sunday afternoon. The weather was beautiful! They drive out once in a while but don't get out of the car, not so good on uneven ground plus it has been so muddy for so long no one could walk around without getting muddy. I wished I had taken a picture of both parent's in the ranger with me driving and Rick in the back on a bucket, I'm sure it was quite a site. We are treasuring times like these with dad and mom very much lately. We all had a real good time with each other.

This is shown from the back yard. A walk out is seeming like lots of siding to me.
My days of walking around the house and washing windows in 1 big hour isn't going to happen anymore, I do believe this is a man's job now.

I walked over with the kids to watch some of the trusses being transported to the house, quite something how they do things different than they did 24 years ago.

This is the back of our home from the trees

The bulldozer finally put the barrel in the crick. We had to cut out both sides of this large barrel to make it a tube. We had purchased this several years ago to use somewhere to get across if we wouldn't be able to go through the cemetery with our equipment.
We want to get over to the other side with the ranger and 4-wheeler, also on foot so Rick got carried away with his skid loader 1 day after planting and cleared a path all the way down to the crick. Bracken now had to finish it up by putting the tube in and covering it with dirt.

Here he is on the other side of the crick moving dirt.

It works!

WOW! Lake was quite impressed!

I was mowing in the cemetery when this was being done. It was kind of hard to miss the stones today as I wanted to watch what was going on. The sun blinded me so bad I couldn't tell what was going on. When he finished I drove to the other side and then came back and took the picture.
